Our Owl Is Pink

Colourful Stories

24 April 2026 – 24 January 2027

The world is full of colours. They frame the way we perceive the world. We use colours purposely in order to lend things social and political meaning. Delve into the colourful stories that come with our collection items. They tell of the contentious nature of the colour red, why yellow and green are believed to protect, how pink and blue are understood differently – and why the owl is pink.

The exhibition was developed in collaboration with kids and people with a sensory impairment and can be explored by using multiple senses. For colours are not only a matter of the eye, they also touch us immediately.
