Kulturkreis – Friends of the Museum
The Friends of the Museum was founded as the “Fünfliberclub” (Five Franc Club) in 1898. In 1998 it changed its name to "Kulturkreis" (Cultural Circle).
Your engagement
As a member of the Kulturkreis, you help to better understand the different cultures of the world by supporting research projects, acquisitions for the collection as well as public and inclusive educational programmes.

Take a look behind the scene and share your thoughts with us or among other members – with regard to exhibitions we put on or concerning our self-understanding as an ethnographic museum.
