Throbbing hearts and alpenglow: the Museum der Kulturen is turning «Red». Join the museum on a journey around the world on the trail of a fascinating colour. It doesn't stop at life and death: you'll meet ancestors and experience dazzling worlds of belief. A walk across the international parquet reveals: Red makes people powerful; this colour is a protagonist in its own right.

A visit to Switzerland's largest ethnographic museum takes you to the scenes where Red exerts its power. On 1500 square metres of exhibition space a spectacle in Red awaits you with around 300 unique objects from all parts of the world. The art gallery «Red, hot & cool» presents a platform for Singapore contemporary artist Kumari Nahappan. And, if this hasn't made you blush yet, a visit to the museum shop with its tempting assortment of merchandise in Red certainly will.
