Collection The foremost European collection of Tibetan art and cultural objects acquired by the museum in 1998 now forms the heart of the Central and East Asia collection. Initially never a focus of the museum's collections, the region is now well represented with pieces including, for example, scientifically and artistically important items from China and Japan.
