Access The library is open to the public and everyone is welcome. Use is free of charge. Opening hours Monday to Friday 9.00 a.m. to 12.30 noon / 1.30 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. Please note the special closing days of the library (pdf). On account of renovation work the possibility to borrow books is limited from 8 to 31 August 2007. During the week of 27 to 31 August the library is closed. Lending Most publications can be borrowed. Books from the manuscript library and manuscript documents and publications before 1900 can be consulted in the reading room. Lending is possible with any IDS card. Orders and extensions can be dealt with online. Catalogue The index appears online in the IDS Basel Bern (Informationsverbund Deutschschweiz).
